Pay Before March 31 - Telangana Government Offers 25% Discount on LRS Payments
The Telangana government is giving a 25% discount on pending LRS (Layout Regularisation Scheme) payments for those who applied in 2020.
If the pending amounts are paid before March 31, 2024, applicants can settle their dues at reduced rates.
After this date, full charges will apply, and delays in getting approvals are likely.

Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) is a scheme that allows owners of unauthorized and illegal plots and layouts to get official government approval. It was introduced in 2020 by the Telangana government, given the rise in unapproved or illegal layouts and land sales.
How will LRS payment help me?
Here are the benefits of having your plot regularized:
- It makes getting building permissions easier
- It makes getting bank loans easier
- It makes getting basic facilities like roads, water, electricity simpler
- It makes selling your plot to others in the future, easier
- LRS approval will get your land a better selling price compared to a disputed land

Without LRS approval, the plot remains unapproved and may face issues for construction, sale, benefits or registration.
Why should I pay now?
Given the pending amount of payments related to the LRS scheme, Telangana Government has offered a one-time settlement (OTS) discount of 25% on all LRS payments until 31st March 2025 (this is only for existing applications)
As the LRS fees are usually significant (in lakhs of rupees for some plots), the discount means you save a lot of money!
I have not applied for LRS yet. Can I apply now?
Yes. Telangana government has also reopened LRS for new applications.
However, the 25% discount is only for pending payments of 2020 applications. New applicants will pay regular charges.

The Telangana LRS portal has around 8 modules you need to update, with details including Property details like address, property type, boundaries, link document details, Market value details, Duty and fee calculation, Seller and Buyer details etc.,
